IT & ITeS
Students learn computer fundamentals, data entry and management, spreadsheets and documentation, basic web concepts and digital workplace skills.
In government schools, vocational education runs as part of Samagra Shiksha, the central scheme for school education. From Class 9 onwards a student picks a trade, say IT or Beauty & Wellness, and studies it like any other subject, with a lab, practicals and exams. When they finish Class 12 they have their board result and a recognised skill certificate.
The idea is simple. A student should leave school able to do something useful, and still be free to go to college if they want to. The courses are written by PSSCIVE, Bhopal (part of NCERT) and follow the National Skills Qualification Framework, so the certificate means the same thing everywhere in the country.
None of this works without teachers who have actually done the job. That is who this registration is for: 552 vocational teacher openings in 548 government schools across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.

Each class maps to a level on the National Skills Qualification Framework. Levels 1 to 4 sit inside school. Levels 5 to 10 continue through ITIs, polytechnics and college, so Class 12 is not a dead end.

| Class | What the student gets | NSQF level |
|---|---|---|
| Class 9 | Introduction to the trade and basic skills | Level 1 |
| Class 10 | Working skills; first certificate | Level 2 |
| Class 11 | A specific job role, in depth | Level 3 |
| Class 12 | Job-ready; internship and placement support | Level 4 |

Most of the students in these schools come from farming, trading and working families. They already know what work looks like. What they need is someone to teach it properly.
Ragini Narendra Abhiyudhya Foundation was set up with one aim: that a young person in Uttarakhand should not have to leave the state to earn a decent living. The hills lose people every year, not because there is no work here, but because nobody trained them for the work that is here.
Hotels in Pithoragarh need trained staff. Orchards in Uttarkashi need people who know post-harvest handling. Every market town needs someone who can repair a geyser or service a scooter. These are the trades in this programme, and they were chosen because the jobs already exist.
Our part is to find the right teachers and put them in front of these students. If we do that well, a Class 12 pass from a government school in Chamoli will mean something to an employer, and to the student's own family.
Four years of practical work in a real lab, under a teacher who has done the job.
A certificate that gets a job, and a board result that keeps college open.
Trained hands stay in the hills and start small businesses of their own.
Every post is for a vocational teacher who teaches one trade, runs the school's lab for it, and helps Class 12 students find internships and placements. You must be between 18 and 42 on the cut-off date. Qualification and experience depend on the trade; open a trade to see the full requirement, the job roles you would teach, and where the posts are.

Your qualification decides it. A B.Tech in Computer Science goes to IT & ITeS, a Diploma in Cosmetology to Beauty & Wellness, a B.Sc Agriculture to Agriculture. If it is still unclear, call us and we will tell you.
These are contractual positions in government schools under a vocational education programme. This is not a government appointment. Selected candidates will be engaged on the payroll of an implementing agency, and not on the payroll of any government department or public sector undertaking. Full terms will be stated in the offer letter.
Qualifications and post counts are as stated in the official advertisement. In case of any discrepancy, the official advertisement shall prevail. The 4 Drone Service Technician posts are a specialised stream within Electronics & Hardware. One registration per candidate. No fee is charged at any stage of this registration or selection process.
You can say which district you would prefer when you register, and a second choice. Final posting depends on where the vacancies are, so it helps to look at the numbers first.
548 schools, 552 posts: four schools run two trades each. Figures are the number of schools per trade in each district, as published in the official advertisement.
If you are not sure about your eligibility, a district, or which documents to keep ready, phone during working hours or write to us. We would rather answer a question now than reject a registration later.
